Established in 1929, Bartrums is an established and successful UK Logistics business dedicated to providing quality solutions with an emphasis on excellent customer service. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking an experienced Traffic Operative to join our existing team at Eye, Suffolk.

You will have a transport background and experience ideally gained from a pallet network type operation. This opportunity will suit an individual capable of thriving within a busy and fast paced environment.

Job Description

• Assist with general office duties
• Process relevant customer paperwork
• Issuing of electronic PDA devices
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time
• Issue collection instructions to drivers
• Answer incoming telephone calls
• Liaise with customers and colleagues in a professional and timely manner
• Legislative compliance
• Deal with unexpected situations, delays, RTA’s

Key Attributes and Skills

• Experience of a palletised network operation
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
• Data input with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong customer service orientation
• Able to work as part of a team
• Good geographical understanding of the UK
• High motivated and capable of working within a pressured environment
• Willingness to work every eighth Saturday morning (rota system)
• Must be flexible with working hours

This is a full time, permanent position, salary will be commensurate with experience.

The Traffic Operative will work from our offices located in Eye, Suffolk Monday to Friday, 08.30 – 18.30 hrs & every eighth Saturday AM.
